I dedicate this book to my mother, Pearl, who was and is my inspiration, to my husband Dennis, who encouraged me and believed in me, and to all the wonderful seniors in which I had the opportunity to have an impact on their lives and to those who served with me at the Assisted Living Facility.

Testimony

I had the pleasure of working with Rhonda, the author of this book for years. She truly is an expert in Senior Living. She was the administrator of one of the most well-run Assisted Livings in the company we worked together in.

This book is a godsend to families. There are so many tips and so much great information that most families would have no idea of when the need comes that they need to investigate moving a loved one into a Senior Living Community.

If you have a senior (or soon to be) in your life, trust me- buy this book!!!

I did not know actually where to start until I read chapter 2 in your book.

Thank you for writing this book because I am going to use it as a guide when I am in the search for a new ALF.

Thank you so much for this vital information.

“For families who have no idea where
to start when looking for an
assisted living facility for their
loved one, this book is a blessing.
The author has been involved in the
senior living industry for many,
many years and has a lot of good
tips and tricks to offer families.
Although one of the best parts of
the book are the checklists that
help the families stay on track with
what to ask when they are touring a
facility, even better are the
chapters that discuss the checklists
in detail and provide good
information about why families need
to ask these questions.

I highly recommend this book – it will save you a lot of time and worry!

After 20 years in the business of caring for seniors in Florida, I felt the need to write a book to help others with the daunting task of finding the best Assisted Living for their loved one.  There are so many different angles and directions to consider when choosing the right Assisted Living.

I was the Executive Director/Administrator of an Assisted Living for 15 years in Florida.  My Assisted Living received no deficiencies/tags from the state for over 10 years.  In Florida, having no deficiencies is a very rare accomplishment even for one year.  I knew the state rules and regulations inside and out and I was determined to follow them and provide the best care to my Assisted Living residents.
